The “Rescue Wings for the Frontline” crowdfunding campaign, initiated by the Maple Hope Foundation from Canada, has been completed. This means that soon we will deliver to Ukraine the largest vehicle ever – a helicopter!
Less than a month ago, our Canadian brothers and sisters from the Maple Hope Foundation announced the most ambitious crowdfunding campaign: for $85,000 CAD to deliver a helicopter to Ukraine!
The Sikorsky 76A helicopter, intended for medical evacuations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, became the first private donation of aircraft of this scale from Canada to Ukraine, organized by the joint efforts of representatives of Canadian business and the Ukrainian community.
And the fundraiser was able to close thanks to many contributions from across Canada, funds raised by the Initiative E+ ($66,530 in total!) and a $35,000 donation from the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) as part of the Unite With Ukraine initiative. Thus, instead of the planned $85,000, $101,530 was raised!
This could only be achieved through the joint efforts of thousands of people from Canada, Ukraine and beyond. We are infinitely grateful to the Canadian diaspora for their constant support and help, as well as for the example of unity, thanks to which any goal can be achieved!
Thank you to everyone who joined this fundraiser and to everyone who continues to support other initiatives for the victory of Ukraine. Only together will we win!
