We started the new year with new records: thanks to our Danish brothers, Biler til Ukraine, we received the 700th car for the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 24.02.22, and the Danes themselves delivered the 500th car, counting from 2014, when they began to so zealously help Ukraine.
The double record was celebrated in a landmark place – near the statue of the Motherland, where we all gathered together: the incredible Biler til Ukraine team, which had previously covered 2000 km to deliver another 18 cars, the military and, of course, the "Initiative" team. Jens Alsbirk, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Danish Embassy in Ukraine, honored the event with his presence. Despite the frost, everyone was warmed by the warmth of solidarity and gratitude.
Since 2014, the Danish volunteer initiative "Cars for Ukraine" (Biler til Ukraine), launched by Jesper Lindholt, has tirelessly supported Ukrainian defenders and donated used cars for the needs of the military. After 2022, these efforts have increased dramatically, and last weekend the number of cars crossed the 500 mark. The 500th car arrived from Denmark as part of the longest Biler til Ukraine convoy in the entire history of this movement.
